1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using robobase.io (the "Service"), operated by RoboBase ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your data.

2. Service Description

The Service is a robotics components directory that allows users to browse components, interact with an AI-powered chat assistant, and request connections with component suppliers. The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Account Registration

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the integrity of the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service, including component listings, supplier information, or directory content.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, including attempting to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code through the Service.

6. AI Chat Assistant

The Service includes an AI-powered chat assistant. You acknowledge and agree that:

• The AI assistant provides general informational suggestions only. It does not provide professional engineering, procurement, or safety advice.
• AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before making purchasing, design, or engineering decisions.
• You should not submit sensitive personal data, confidential business information, or trade secrets through the chat.
• The Service is not intended for safety-critical applications, and you must not rely on it for such use.

7. Supplier Connections

The Service allows you to request introductions to component suppliers. When you request a supplier connection, we share the contact information and requirements you approve with the relevant supplier(s). We may receive compensation from suppliers for providing these introductions.

We act solely as a facilitator. We are not a party to any transaction, agreement, or relationship between you and any supplier. We do not endorse, guarantee, or verify any supplier's products, pricing, availability, qualifications, or business practices. We are not responsible for the actions, omissions, products, or services of any supplier. We do not guarantee that suppliers will respond or offer any terms.

Listings in the directory do not imply any endorsement or partnership.

Any dispute between you and a supplier is between you and that supplier. Once your information is shared with a supplier at your request, the supplier handles your data under their own terms and privacy policy.

8. Directory Listings

By submitting a listing to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and use the submitted content (including product names, descriptions, images, and specifications) for the purpose of operating and promoting the directory.

We reserve the right to edit, modify, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, including for quality, accuracy, policy compliance, or any other reason. We are not obligated to publish or maintain any listing.

Paid (featured) listings are subject to separate billing terms that will be provided to you at the time of purchase. Failure to comply with applicable billing terms may result in downgrade or removal of your featured listing.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, and all related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service (such as chat messages and connection request details). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content available through the Service, including component listings, specifications, and AI-generated responses.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, regardless of the theory of liability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us, and we will process the deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service to protect the Service or if you violate these Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel.

If you are located in the EU/EEA, this section does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Updated Terms apply from the date posted above. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
